My personal master bath doesn't look quite as calming these days, as I walk in and it's piles and piles of dirty laundry. Truth! Once I do get my act together, I do want to add some calmness and bring that retreat vibe to my bathroom at home. Why not save a ton from those weekly or monthly visits to the local spa?!? Where else would you find DIY inspirational ideas other than from Pinterest? No really, I'd like to learn and know. So why not research for myself.
Here are my five ways to add crystal inspiration to your bathroom at home from a crystal healer's perspective as featured (see number 2) on Redfin's blog article on 7 Expert Tips To Create The Ultimate Bathroom Spa by Jenna Hall.
1) In creating a renewing healing sanctuary, it is recommended to add any blue or green crystal in your bathroom such as amazonite, chalcedony, celestite, emerald or even flourite, to have that calming ambiance as you bathe or shower in your bathroom retreat.
2) You can add raw forms of these types of crystals and set them around your tub or sink near your candles or plants.

3) Why not be unique and add a decorative finishing touch to your bathroom cabinets by replacing the old knobs with crystal knob accents.
4) Pinterest has these great crystal bathroom sinks that I just love and know I can't afford, hmm maybe a future DIY? We'll see!

5) Lastly, this fun crystal geode toilet rug in black, white and charcoal gray is on my wishlist! It actually comes in a bigger rug size too! What other crystal inspired home decor pieces would catch your eye?

I've come a long way since my crafty art started in February of 2019. My love for various textures of fabric has escalated to more of an obsession as of late. To this day, I still view fabric as art. Since I never studied fashion design, but have a massive love for fashion, I learned basic sewing my junior year of high school and used those basic skills to create or design some of my crystal wreaths.
Since February of 2019, I've been living a non-stop creative life. Making my weekends and weekday evenings, craft nights or craft weekends even including my husband in the mix of our creations as it is a tribute to a daughter, Trinity Marie. I'd like to add this paragraph below from the book "The Power of Love" Connecting to the Oneness by James Van Praagh, #1 New York Times bestselling author who is also known as a spiritual medium.
" One of the natural characteristics of the soul is creation. Spirit constantly inspires our souls to express who we are. In this case, Jerry was being inspired by his brother in Spirit to continue with the creative work they had done together to restore cars. Jerry had been so closed off to his soul self that he was unable to access the love of his brother. The more Jerry wallowed in grief and sadness, the bigger the wall he built around himself became. The wall kept any creativity from flowing into him. When we block our creativity through bitterness, isolation, and hopelessness, we cannot fully live the expression of our souls. We all recognize that creative people are tuned in to something beyond themselves. A creative person often receives new ideas, solutions, and possibilities through intuition and inspiration. The more we allow ourselves to instruments of love, the more we can tune in to the higher creative energy and bring heaven onto Earth." Reading the above paragraph, not only comforts my bereaved soul, but simultaneously ignites me to continue to create.
This post is my online toolkit for own personal creativity block.
1) Attend the LA Textile bi-annual event and closely listen to Peclers Paris speak about trend forecasting and creative strategy.
2) Listen to Elizabeth Gilbert's TED Talk on all of us have a "genius".
3) Read this Elizabeth Gilbert article on tips on living a creative life:
Fear Is Boring, and Other Tips on Living a Creative Life
4) Read Psychology Today's blog post on
Ten Creative Block Breakers That Actually Work
5) Find inspiration from other creatives.
a) Attend an exhibition that interests you at an art gallery.
b) Visit craft fairs and get inspiration from other makers as advised by my
Confidence + Visibility Coach, Freya Krishnan
As a maker, gathering tips on how to break your own creativity block would not be a bad idea to have and it would provide you an instant solution to your problem. What other tips or guidance/support do you have for breaking this barrier in your creative life? What's on your toolkit?
