{This holiday blog post is for my support of local small business as Small Business Saturday was just yesterday (November 28), and I do apologize for the day late post.}
This weekend was the 2015 Crocker Holiday Artisan Market which is by far the best holiday artisan local market I've ever attended at Sacramento, CA. Also in it's ninth year, I now plan to go every year going forward to shop for unique gifts for the holidays. This event is co-sponsored by the Crocker Art Museum and the Creative Arts League of Sacramento with over 100 selected artists that participate to provide that one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Below are some of my personal favorites and adding my husband's favorites as well!
:: Jocelyn's Specialty Soaps ::
I picked up a couple natural soaps as gifts such as the pineapple w/chamomile and star gazer lily. Soaps do run between $7 to $9. I'm not sure if she has an online shop presence, but you can tag her on Instagram to inquire about her soaps, username: jocelynsspecialtysoaps or send an email at [email protected]
:: Graphic Anthology ::
Any words or phrases that could make a person happy, Genesis Duncan uses typology art to express it for them. Scandinavian inspired graphic designs and paper stationery, it is hard not to resist her paper goodies and pillows. I picked up a small 8 x 10 print pictured below for $10.
Genesis kindly offered my blog visitors and readers 25% off with the code ninnalu until the end of the year. Find her merchandise on her online shop at http://graphicanthology.com/.
:: Various Artists | Jewelry and Hats ::
Raindancer Designs: Simple Wearable Jewelry
Margo Z. Nahas: Jewelry Collection
Tess McGuire Hatmaker: Where To Buy Her Hats
:: Sten Hoiland ::
We love dachshund art. Thank you Sten!
:: Airvana Designs ::
Most airplants I've encountered are hanging on a wire or have a concrete or metal base, like the ones I have at home. But Heather uses unique home decor pieces to display her airplants which makes this a unique find!
:: Fine Textiles ::
Sergio Martinez's work was a sight to see. He was physically there fine weaving his art work at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. Based at Oaxaca, Mexico, his tapestry art ranges from $14.00 to 12K. You can reach him by email below.
:: Chris Efstratis - Fine Artist ::
His artwork makes a perfect conversation piece. Ceramic sculptures, pottery, paintings, custom designs and outdoor sculpture can be found at http://www.chrisefstratis.com.
Saving the best for last...
:: Bob Miller ::
We picked up this art piece and claiming this picture as his autograph! This was one of the paintings he made during the 180 days challenge of painting one painting a day. Thank you Bob!
Thank you so much for reading!
Please support your local artisans.
