This Sunday afternoon was nice and cool enough to make a quick trip to Downtown Sacramento to check out the Indie Craft Fair on 14th and E Streets. There were lots of jewelry and vintage clothing vendors plus a Kombucha truck which we tried and had a sip of the grapefruit flavor Kombucha and it was quite refreshing. Although I didn't have the time to take pictures for the blog, we did have time to stop by University Art on J Street and I came across a small charming boutique called Identity.
For those new in reading the blog, you can find Ninna Lu's Boutique Envy blog series here. It is an outlet for me to share why I envy a particular boutique. For as long as I've lived, I have always dreamed of owning and running a boutique one day. Although, I didn't get to ask the owner questions, Sarah was kind enough to let me take pictures of the lovely boutique. It was perfect timing as they just brought out all their fall merchandise on the boutique floor.

Here are my five reasons of why I envy Identity Boutique:
1) From what I observed on the boutique floor for fall were oversized tribal print open cardigans with a vintage 80s vibe, colored denim, embellished clutches, bold colored layering tops, maxi skirts and motorcycle jackets in all fall colors and of course with that trendy leather blend material. The casual or business casual trends can be worn by women of all ages from juniors to misses with sizes of XS to XL. Identity is an on trend and very affordable boutique that I would definitely visit often as the seasons change.
2) Their corner location is perfect for those out of towners and locals to just walk in and shop.
3) The small boutique looks to be a perfect square footage size which looks manageable enough to stock inventory that one person can handle the whole shop.
4) With just enough curated merchandise to attract customers from the busy J Street, it didn't give me that overwhelming shopping feeling.
5) Identity Boutique is also involved in the local support of other businesses within the shopping grid of Midtown Sacramento.
You can find Identity Boutique on Facebook and visit their website here. That was my Sunday afternoon, how was yours? Thank you so much for visiting and reading! ~ marissa
