Loving My Camera+

    My husband and I took an early drive to Downtown Los Angeles, CA to check out the Connected Fashion Festival on the corner of Hope St. and 9th St, right across the street from the FIDM-West design college, go figure. An organized event featuring lots of sample sales from many local brands, Indie musical bands and gourmet food trucks. Bring any canned food as a donation and receive the discounted admission fee of $5.00 otherwise it's $7.00. For more information details on upcoming events, visit the Connected Fest website.

   I wanted to give my Camera+ app a trial run to see how user friendly it is. I just discovered the app myself and boy am I addicted! You can quickly take pictures and leave them in your Lightbox until you are ready to edit each picture. Editing the photos is the creative part! You can select from a variety of options from adjusting and cropping the photo from choosing a variety of effects and borders. Below are a few pictures I personally took from the Connected Fashion Festival this morning.

Handmade Goodness - Introducing made with madpawlove

 

  Taking good pictures on a cloudy and dreary day proves very challenging! Hopefully these bright colored infinity scarves will add some joy to your day. Fun with Neon: Outfit Set Creation

 

   According to the few fashion and style bloggers I follow on a daily basis, bright colors are one of the major trends this season and it may even carry on through the following year in 2013. Fashion industry experts who follow the trends season after season have reported such bright hues will be on trend across the board, not only for women, but for men and kids too. If you'd love to research upcoming trends, here is a resourceful fashion industry website to check out WeConnectFashion.com.

 

   But for women my age (late 30s) and up, it's quite tricky to try to pull this colorful look without looking like a fruit basket. As it turns out, thinking about how I'd love to carry this look, accessories are definitely the best way to go. You won't find too many bright colored pieces in my wardrobe, but I'm digging the hues on the accessories from the neon yellow trimmed envelope clutch to the matching neon yellow statement necklace.
